So a few things have happened since I wrote in here last, the first being that time has been marching by so damn fast I feel like I can't even keep up.  If I were having a bad day that would get to me severely, but today was only stressful academically and did not affect my mood, nice change for once.

I finished the cover letter and resume that I had to send to that company and sent it out last week.  I also had a test last friday in my strength and materials class and believe I could have gone either way.  The material covered was axial loads, thermal expansion, torsion, shear and moment diagrams, and bending/moments of inertia.  The parts that I studied most heavily for were shear and moment, torsion, and moments of inertia.  I felt most comfortable with axial loadings and the shear and moment diagrams before I took the exam.  The funny part is that when I took the exam, the torsion problem was the one I felt I had done perfectly, with the moment of inertia problem being almost totally wrong.  The first problem, axial load, I feel I did OK on, though I probably will not get full credit.  Anyways, I took the exam and went to a couple more classes for the rest of the day, did some excellent longboarding, then headed back to woonsocket.  While loading my car in front of hitchcock I got a ticket though, so I was pretty upset for most of the ride home.  Fuckin ticket nazis here at UNH deserve to die.

I ended up getting back to woonsocket at around 9:30 because I left UNH so late and hit about 45 minutes of excellent traffic on 495.  It was funny when I got home though because my dad's old friend from highschool that I go on bikerides with was there and they had already started drinking.  They helped me unload my car and then we had a couple beers together.  Then my cousin, sister and omj showed up to the house and we began drinking in earnest.  I'll be honest, I was so happy to be home that night and am still really happy that I went home.  Everything was excellent friday and saturday was excellent too.  We played some softball at barry field (my cousin, omj, my cousin's cousin, my cousin's cousin's buddy, and my cousin's cousin's nephew, damn) and kait fontaine, kristie soleki and this girl I had never met before played with us too.  Her name's nineveh I found out, and she's also an engineering major at URI so I guess we have a common interest or whatever.  Saturday night was when it got weird.

I was supposed to go to a party in rohoboth but it got busted, so omj and I drove around and smoked a little, as there wasn't really a lot going on for some reason.  We ended up smoking a lot more and watching superbad so naturally, it was hilarious.  I was still kind of awake at 3:00 am when my cousin stumbled in.  Now, recap, this means it was officially 4/20.  You know, a holiday of sorts.  My cousin immediately begins rolling a gigantic blunt and says, "let's go, outside."  I would have been daft to refuse and hopped up to join him.

It was excellent, considering I was already pretty much on my way with smoking.  It really started to hit me when I noticed something weird in the sky.  There was a line that looked like a stream that a jet makes when it goes by, but there were no planes at all in the sky and it was pitch black out (besides the moon).  I asked my cousin and he said he saw it too.  Then we saw a second "line" appear directly underneath it, and then a third one appear on top of the original one not too long after.  We kept asking each other if we were really seeing this, when the lines all came together and created some weird shape in the sky.  I started getting extremely scared (not hard for one who is stoned to achieve) and my cousin told me not to worry about.  I definitely was worried and ran inside and sat on this chair and explained to OMJ what happened cuz he hadn't come outside to smoke with us.  He didn't really care because damn we were fucked.  It took me about 15 minutes to fully forget everything that happened outside, pretty funny.  I believe john and I watched a movie but I have no idea what it was.  I think we passed out around 4 and that was the end of saturday.

Sunday I didn't do much of anything but lounge around the house all day.  I really didn't do anything and just hung out and realized it was 7:00pm before I knew it.  I had wanted to get back to UNH asap on sunday so I was kinda mad I stayed home so long.  Anyways, I got back at 9:30 at night and celebrated what was left of the holiday with some friends.

I slept through three classes on monday, skipped one, and then one was cancelled, so I guess you could say I went to no classes on monday.  Tuesday was kind of uneventful too besides going to band, which holy shit is so boring.

Today is wednesday, well technically thursday.  It's 1:54 am and everybody's finally getting to sleep.  I got an e-mail the other day that basically rejected me from all my interships so I was pretty bummed today.  Now it looks like I'm going to be living in New Hampshire for the summer painting houses, which I guess isn't so bad.  I'll be working with a good friend of mine, scott.  It should be fun.  It is 2:00am though and I'm getting up in a couple hours, so it's time to peace out.
