Home at last
Started the new temp assignment today. Ya, strange day to start, but I figured it would be worth it for the extra cash. The parking lot didn't have much snow, so I waited until after almost 3:30 to head out to the car. Whoops.
I can say with confidence that our town takes far better care of the roads locally than the commonwealth takes care of 495. Took me twice the usual time to get to town. Then I went to the grocery store that I pass (the lot was empty) and the pharmacy for my asthma RX. Really want that on hand.
1st day back to this office was great. One person did a little dance of joy when she saw me coming in - talk about an ego boost. Got a present from a vendor and a giant poinsettia that the "plant guy" was going to have to throw away. He offered me a total of seven when I commented on their beauty. Six went to my coworkers and one came home.
Services are canceled tonight. The driveway had been cleared and dinner was in the oven. Nice.
Time to set the table. Have a safe weekend.
