House update, garden edition

When we first moved in we took a peek around the yard, but couldn't be sure of just what flowers the previous owners had planted. Now that it's spring things are starting to really come alive!

These are all things that were planted before we moved in, btw.

This is the magnolia tree in our front yard as it was over easter. The blossoms lasted for only about a week but they were beautiful and smelled up the whole place!

Look how big the flowers were! It's a shame they don't last for very long.

Under the tree we have four different colors of tulips: red, pink, orange, and a single white.

This white hyacinth was one of two that popped up in the back yard which was kinda funny because our mom gave us a couple purple ones at Easter. Kinda funny that there were only two, so either we'll plant more for next year or maybe transplant them into the front.

The Bleeding Heart next to our shed. Ominous name, very pretty bush.

And lastly our little Azalea bush. It only has 7 blossoms but that's more than we thought it would get, considering we thought it was dead when we first moved in. This picture is a few days old so it's actually blooming now. I'll get a good pic once they're all open for another update.

We've done a ton of other work on the yard but it won't be much to look at until things start blooming. Quilting, gardening... all I need to do is start drinking coffee and I'll become my mother!
