Okay the place is still a mess, but here are the pictures I promised! Welcome to Croik's pic-tour :D
I didn't get a pic of the outside of the house because it's cold out and I'm not taking off my slippers long enough to put on my shoes. So let's just imagine the front of the house is very cute.
Here are the before and after shots of the family room/office space:
As you can see we've gone with a mint chocolate chip asthetic :D
Harold is currently enjoying a prime seat in front of the window. I'm not quite sure where his face is... (For those not familiar with Harold, he is our home mascot who's followed us from apartment to apartment. Chicks dig him)
But wait, what's this?
Could it be...
A comically large novelty awesome dad pen!?
In this view you can see our green/gold/blue color theme with the cherry-chocolate trim.
Before and after of the kitchen:
The lighting makes it look darker in the second pic, but the lighting is actually pretty decent. The first home cooked meal I made in the new, delightfully open kitchen was chicken salad with garlic and diced carrots. I won't expect it to produce anything that relatively healthy ever again...!
Before and after of the living room:
Our mixed Japanese and English manga collection. But wait...
One of them is trying to bust right off the shelf! Could it be...
Why it's Del Rey's best new OEL manga by a cosmos-dwelling canine!
What other fascinating discoveries are there to be made in the blue living room? Perhaps...
Yakuza 2! Let mission "Get Kazuma laid by as many bitches as possible" resume! (Don't worry, he pretends they're all Yumi).
Next up, the upstairs! Starting with TK's room:
Holy shit it's the bluest bedroom you've ever seen! The photo doesn't do it justice, really. This is a Phoenix-suit-blue room. And yes, that is the devil himself lording over it all...
And my room:
Still getting worked on, of course. When it's finished, it ought to look more like this:
BAM, MURAL!! Damn right I mean it.
As always, T-Rex guards the room from a lofty perch.
And a quick view of the outside:
Site of my spring-time landscaping project. Something is growing on those trellises but we won't know exactly what until they bloom.
Our fenced yard backs up to a nature preserve. Not bad, huh?
Now we venture into the finished basement which will eventually be the craft/sewing area:
Yes, those are Gundams.
By now you're probably thinking, "But Croik, how could all that shit fit into a small two bedroom apartment that had no basement storage because it was always underwater and growing with mold?" Well my friend, some mysteries are not worth solving.
And that's the end of my tour. Get outta here!
Thanks everyone for your support and well wishes through our long house hunt :D
