Future plans
I signed up for an an audition intensive workshop today. It will take place here in Winnipeg over two days in late September. It is run by my acting instructor, 2 other instructors and a casting agent from here and one from Vancouver. It is costing me a whopping $450. My parents didn't mind though because it is an investment in my future and all that. Luckily they have put money into bonds for me for such an improtant thing. I am really hoping to get a lot out of it... after all, you can't get parts without good audition skills.
I have also been thinking about what I will have to do to go forward in my career. The main thing being meeting with agents and moving to Vancouver... probably within the next 3 years or so. It is inevitable. I cannot stay in Winnipeg if I want to be signed by an agent. Vancouver is the half-way mark between Winnipeg and Los Angeles.
Problem is I will have to movie by myself. I don't know anyone in Vancouver to room with. :( Nor do I even have one red cent saved up to make the move. The second I get back from Europe next summer, I will really have to start making some plans for getting more work and, of course, more money. A girl that used to train at the place I'm at planned a move to Vancouver a year and a half ago. She was signed by an agent and now get roles in TV shoes, like "Supernatural" and some Life Time mvoies. That's exactly what I need to shoot for at this point. It can be done... I just need to cash to do it.
