Goddamn police state... that's what this country's turning into. They'll start with this kind of shit until people get used to it, then make it more and more Gestapoesque. Pfeh.. The offical excuse (lie) for you and alot of other people getting stopped for no reason is that it's Memorial Day weekend.

I would have understood if I was out on the interstate but I was LESS than a block from home. *grumbles* There is like zero crime in Fremont so they stop you for anything. Same in Alameda. In Oakland I've seen guys blow through red lights in front of cops and they've not gotten pulled over. They have real things to worry about there like murders. Fremont just needs more crime and this sort of harassment wouldn't happen.

Exactly. Which is why I'm going to fight it. I spoke with the Sgt and his attitude was 'it doesn't count against you and it is a cheap ticket..so don't fight it' and I was like 'I didn't do it so I'm not paying it' and he understood. I just don't want that one on their record as a successful ticket issued. I want to make them waste hundreds of dollars of tax money on it.
