Reef Tank update

Returning home the reef tank captured my attention as usual. Things sure can change in a week, not to mention a month!
My Zoanthids (sp) are bigger and bright pink now. The christmas tree coral is big and seemingly happy. One of my crabs appeared dead but actually I was looking at the shed skin! I now have snail/slug combo creatures and some bacteria colonies are starting to grow around the intake to the filter so that's reassuring. The green hotdog like things are getting big as is the wavy lettuce like seaweed. The brown leafy seaweed is huge and may need pruning someitme. Red filamenteous algae took over and I'll be snagging more snails and a couple more crabs soon. As for the latest addition that I barely got time to admire before I left? Clavularia viridis the Fluorescent Green Star Polyps shrank, or so I thought. It seems the original ones fell off into the crevace in the rock and are happy down there, the others fell into the sand and have multiplied, while not large they are growing more numerous. It was purchased as a frag with only 4-6 polyps and now the bottom colony has 10 and the one inside the rock has at least two. I have the little fan things spouting up everywhere too. For the bad news: Aptasia, at least 5 of them and one is large. Ugh. I'm considering peppermint shrimp.

Yeah, I'll post about my trip later.
