Hello! So glad to see another active crochet community!
I'm having a problem with a pattern, if anyone could help, that would be great! I just starting making a tank top last night (from the 2004 Interweave Knits Crochet mag) and I'm already stuck! First you crochet 16 rows of 14 sts and then it says "With RS facing and working in sc, pick up 12 sts along ends of rows just worked, working down to beg of piece (this is the center front edge of left side)--26 sts."
I have never encountered this picking up stitches thing, what exactly do I do? I tried increasing in 12 of the 16 stitches on the edge, but it looks waaay wrong. Do I make a chain as a way of increasing, or do I round the corner at the bottom and crochet onto the foundation row? Ack! Help!
