When I was in high school, my boyfriend Brian became a big fan of the Beastie Boys after hearing that bratty, party anthem of theirs. In hindsight, it was a pretty hilarious transformation. Basically overnight, he went from white-bread suburban teenager to saying things like "fly" and "def". Despite hearing that silly cassette on an endless loop

I have never even seen a damn White Castle. I always suspected it was because certain parts of the country were hoarding them all....

It was something I always took for granted. There's a huge concentration of them in IN/IL/KY/OH, they're well represented in NY/NJ, and then there's a smattering of them elsewhere in the Great Lakes, Midwest, and Upper South. I grew up in a part of the country where the cities of Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Lexington were all less than a three hour drive.

Ah, I remember those days!

We have a White Castle not too far from my house, and while I don't eat there too often, IMO they have the BEST onion rings in town. Seriously. I mean, the fries are good, but their onion rings (at least here in town) are Da Bomb. :)

Yes they are very good, and I do have the luxury of having them in White Castles I've already eaten my fries in. But don't sleep on Sonic onion rings. OMG!
