I bought 6 CDs at border's for 50% off, and averaged less than $10 per cd. My music collection now includes:
Opiate - Tool (everyone needs more Tool)
Her Majesty - The Decemberists (who I saw live a few years ago and loved but never got around to buying their music)
Speakerboxx/The Love Below - Outkast (all three major Outkast CD's were on sale, so I could've gotten the whole set, but I resisted)
Introducing Joss Stone - Joss Stone (I seem to remember hearing this was good. Plus I feel like I need more female singers in my collection. Tori Amos' Strange Little Girls was in my pile for a while, but I ended up not buying it, cause I already have lots of Tori)
Open Season: remixes and collabs - Feist (Sticker: "Remixes of songs from the acclaimed album "Let It Die" featuring The Postal Service, k-os and Gonzales". I do not have any Feist but she won my heart singing "1234" on Seseme Street, and this CD was %50 off $10, dragging down my per-CD average :)
Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters (Ta-Dah!, their other album, is one of my favorite. I lent my hard copy to someone and never got it back cause I stopped talking to that person, and I was tempted to rebuy Ta-Dah! as well, but decided against it)
Other temptations I resisted: A Tom Waits compelation CD, a Verve compelation (I don't like compilations, I like hearing what other songs didn't end up as hits. Sometimes it's obvious why, sometimes you get hidden gems), and another Decemberists album (not knowing anything about either, I decided to go with the one that was a dollar cheaper)
I like music shopping. I haven't been in a while cause I haven't been working enough to mentally justify it. But I just finished Kiss Me Kate, and I've got all this free time, and then a theater friend died, and I need some retail therapy dammit. I've also bought new capri tights, socks, and underwear at kohls, on sale, and some custom engraved picture locket cuff links for Gabe from Things Remembered. I spent last night on photo shop resizing and editing pictures (aka giving myself eyebrows).
I need to get more excersize. And I need to shower. Should I go for a run first and then shower? Or should I shower first, just in case I feel like skipping it afterwards...
