Yesterday night I was driving home at 2 am (not because I was out partying, but because I was stuck at Barnes and Noble until 12:15 shelving books from the sloppy dumb idiot customers) and my car suddenly had problems.
The battery light came on and it was then I realized I couldn't turn easily. So I called good old dad and he calmly explained that my belt probably had fallen off, that my radiator was overheating, and that pretty soon my car would shut off so I had better hurry and go until it was impossible to continue.
I didn't like this news of course, but I kept going until the radiator exploded and got all over my windshield. Frightening! Thought I, until even more frightening things started happening, like steam pouring into the car.
So I pulled over on dependable Kirk Road and awaited my fate.
It really wasn't a big deal because my dad did come and drive it to the mechanic with no time to spare.
If it isn't my face falling apart, it's my car falling apart and I am in surprisingly good spirits considering the past couple of months have been so rough for me.
Oh, and my face is better. It looks like it was just a case of bells palsy which gets better in a week.
Tomorrow i begin my second full takeover in the class. Mondays are so hard, but I'm trying to approach the day with high spirits.
Last week was really hard because I kept convincing myself I was doing so bad and then Wednesday was the worst because I had a meeting at school only to find out more bad news. By Thursday I was a wreck, and I knew my car was having difficulties so it was only a matter of time.
Friday I started over emotionally, however, and have been keeping in high spirits ever since. We'll see how this week goes!
