When I have thoughts that I’ll be no more
I recognise that I am no more
And always was and had been no more
Than thoughts that I’ll be always no more

Than then and now, here, there, near
Or elsewhere on earth or in the air
Or underneath. And I’m well aware,
In any case one shouldn’t interfere

With any thought.
It would be far from fair.
Just ne’er you declare that every mortal fear
When brought into the clear
Will come to naught,
Will swiftly disappear.
