finding nemo
We are going to the TN aquarium tomorrow. I am already laughing at myself. Everytime we have an "event" like this I get all excited because the girls are going to have "so much fun." Then we get there and they are, after all, ages 2 and 4, and want to go home after about 30 seconds of the exciting, expensive activity that I have planned. I have faith, however, that this time will be different. The girls love Finding Nemo and right now the aquarium has a special display on the real fish behind the stars of finding nemo. I hope they like it.
The TN aquarium is funny to me. I think the one in New Orleans is better. I think the fact that the "specialty" of the TN aquarium is fresh water fish makes it somewhat dull. I wish I could remember exactly what one display is labeled --- I want to say it's "backwater." I'll have to report back tomorrow. Whatever it is, I remember thinking, "They might as well label that 'Things You Can Find in the Drainage Ditch in Your Backyard.'" Woop-tee-doo. In all fairness, they do have a lot of neat fish, and even though Finding Nemo makes me feel guilty about keeping fish in tanks so we can stare at them, I am looking forward to going.
