Title: Chi's Sweet Home
By: Konami Kanata
Genre: Seinen
Serialized in: Morning
Status: Ongoing, 4 volumes
Warning: Extreme Fluff and Cute
Overall rating: 10/10

SUMMARY
A story about a little kitten and the new life she finds with a human family. The manga follows her through her experiences with her new family, and her dumb reactions throughout these.

Main Characters
Chi : the heroine of the manga. She finds herself lost one day while out for a stroll with her (cat) family. Eventually, however, she is taken in by a family who lives in an apartment that doesn't allow pets. Her reactions and thoughts towards the new things she's introduced to (like potty training and the bath), and her attempts to "go home", are nothing short of adorable.

Yohei : The human child. He was the one who met Chi first and that insisted for the kitten be taken home. Him and Chi often mirror each other, being a child himself like Chi.

The Parents : Known ambigiously as "Daddy" and "Mommy" from Yohei. At first they are reluctant to keep Chi because of their apartment's policy against pets, however, eventually Chi wins them over.

My Rating
Story: 10/10
Plot? What plot? Perhaps the plot itself is How Chi Will React to New Things, nevertheless, even with the lack of a very solid plot, Chi's Sweet Home is a wonderful read. The chapters are short, but filled with endless and amusing kitten idiocy.

Characters: 10/10
Chi is naturally the center of this manga, and being a very expressive and curious little kitten, she shines as its star. However, the humans - the mom, the dad, and the son - while mostly in the background (only the boy is named; Yohei) are also endearing, even if they lack a definitive, and deep characterization. However, with the manga being about a kitten first and foremost, the sort of backseat the human's family has taken in terms of characterization works, since we are looking at the world mostly through Chi's eyes.

Art: 10/10
In addition to the manga being in full color, you just have to note how extremely irresistable Chi is always drawn. Almost after every panel, or ever other panel, I found myself pausing to stare a little longer at Chi; those round, black eyes, and her expressions are always so... fitting of the situation. It's hard not to love. Also, the manga is chock full of iconable expressions, courtesy of the ever-expressive Chi.

Overall: 10/10
Everyone should read this manga, just for the ultimate cute. It's a little feel-good, it has no long-running plot, or evil villains, or worlds to save, but it does have kittens! How can you go wrong with that?

Other Notes
It's scanlated by Doki-Doki, alongside several other projects starring kittens. So far, there's two volumes scanlated so far, and it remains to be seen whether the rest will be scanlated.
