[Was actually walking by the cornfield, probably looking paler than usual and pretty damn ill -- similar to how he looked the first time he ever gave into his hunger. But snaps upright when he hears the ridiculous shout.]

[Was stepping over beaten down zombies to continue patrolling, but stops and turns her head at catching Zero's scent.]

[Meets her eyes, his look very very heavy, and calls out:]

What are you doing?

Ah . . . I was patrolling. Good evening.

We need to warn the camp.

[criticalbit]

[Takes a few steps closer before stopping abruptly.]

Are you . . . has something happened?

[Pulls back on his own.]

I saw Stefan the other night. He's not himself. It could start happening to the others soon.

[She pauses for a long moment, looking away with her hand to her throat.]

. . . what will you say?

That we are all dangerous now and soon won't be able to stop ourselves. And that we need a way to restrain the vampires.

[criticalbit]

No one is going to have any secrets about what they are after this, are they?

... Probably not. It's safer this way anyway. For most of them.

I don't like forcing people out in the open . . . we don't know everyone's circumstances. It's true that we can't keep this in the dark for much longer either though.

Their circumstances don't matter when they're a threat! Stefan had something that wasn't his. Where do you think he got it from? And how? Compulsion.

His kind's ability to control humans just by speaking to them. Do you want to risk other vampires who can do that?

Of course not. I--I didn't think Stefan was the kind of person who would do that sort of thing.
