WHAT? DRACO MALFOY!?!?! Can't wait to see where that goes.

KISSAGE. I'm really loving Harry and Hermione in private moments. The way things between them evolve so naturally. Harry voicing the extent of his feelings for Hermione in such a fashion instead of a big romantic grand gesture. It's great. Harry and Hermione are quiet, understated. Just as they were in the books. You bring such nuance to their relationship. I am very much a fan.

RON. Holy crap! Everything I thought it might be and more. I'm glad it wasn't just a whole "I'm fine" with it thing. There was so much insecurity from Ron with the Harry/Hermione dynamic in the book, it would be jarring to overlook it now. And finally we can explore that, which I'm very excited about. And not only insecurities from Ron, but from Harry as well. A very interesting wrinkle to their conversation, and I can't wait to see where that goes. There is such a depth to Harry with this romantic entanglement (as opposed to another one...you know, the one that happened within canon...the one that is TERRIBLE) and I think that just adds to his character. He was somewhat preoccupied with his destiny in the canon to worry about deep, romantic notions and feelings. But this is a really cool exploration of what might happen AFTER a hero completes his destiny. Forget "happily ever after" business. That never happens. There are always difficult situations and interesting predicaments to be in. Can't wait to read for more!

Yeah, when I was thinking about writing this, I was thinking about Ron, and given the Horcrux hallucination and the way he's ALWAYS been about perceiving Harry to one-up him, I just couldn't picture him brushing it off in my head. I don't think a couple sentences accurately dealt with that rift between Harry and Ron, that to some extent had been there for years.
