I'm in Maine. By the way, is it incredibly non-interesting of me to continuously write about whatever state I'm in? I really don't know why I do that.
Maine is wonderful. The good Mr. Scribner was certainly not joshing us with his praises to his home state. It's so picturesque and very wet. As a Nebraskan, I am simply overwhelmed by the massive amounts of water that surround me everywhere I go here. Oceans, lakes, rivers, rain...it's amazing that these people get through the day without drowning, quite frankly. But, despite that Maine seems to be hogging all the water, it's just very quaint and cute here. Go Maine.
To expand on my trip across the country, I'm travelling with my mom, aunt, grandpa, and little brother. This in itself is most unique experience. I'm really not even sure yet how to sum it up. I may try again later. I guess I could begin by saying that sometimes people only consider you be an adult when they want you to be. It sorta goes along with that phrase - "In the eye of the beholder..."
Tomorrow I'm going to see the ocean - for real - for the first time. Joy. Bliss. :)
