The other day as I was standing amidst a gaggle of females, I realized that the treatment given to the glitzy giddups worn on the red carpet in Hollywood is not merely exclusive to celebrities's wardrobes. One young woman commented on anothers dress - the response, "Thanks, Walmart." As though it was instinct, she offered to the group the location from which that dress came. This happens often among women, I've noticed. Why - I don't know, but isn't it a bit amusing that that same conversation that I had with some college girls in Hillsdale, MI draws millions of viewers to their televisions when it's given a title like The Red Carpet Pre-Show to the Oscars or something along those lines? "Thanks, Armani."
