Or people don't actually read what I write.
I was trying to be supportive to another Navy Wife on a website, who's husband is at RTC with Tyler RIGHT NOW about the fact that she hasn't gotten his address yet. It's frustrating to her, because I have Tyler's address, and have gotten 2 letters from him, yet she has nothing. So, in jest, I referenced a previous post, and told her to call the recruiter bawling and see what that got her, along with some other light hearted comments to try and make her feel not quite to bad, while validating her frustrations.
What do I get?
A response from one of the other ladies, telling her and I that the processing isn't the same for everyone, so even though they have been there for 2 WEEKS, her husband may not have an address yet, and get this, "HOW FAST DO YOU GUYS THINK MAIL TRAVELS?". Apparently, from the letters I have received, it takes 3-4 days for a letter to get from IL to the West Coast. THen I got told that my advice(which wasn't advice, it was a JOKE) to have her call the recruiter crying, would only get her labeled a whiner, and she needs to just hurry up and wait.
Wow. Either I was having a really bad night when I wrote that, or someone truly just does not understand my writing style/hear my tone. I don't understand how someone could have misinterpereted so badly.
