Hello, my dear LJ friends. Its been a while since I last post. A lot has happened since!
Oh my where should I begin?
If you have read my previous post about my love Robert, this piece of news shouldn't surprise you. Robert and I have been in love with each other for years. I still can't believe out of all the crap we've been through, I can still say I love him more and more each day. Yes, we may have a bit of a communication issue, but, our love continues to grow. And on December 16th, dearest Robert, got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. And of course I said, "YES!" I am so excited! We plan on getting married in the summer. A date hasn't been set yet, because we have to figure out how long our pre-marriage counciling will take. So when we find out I'll fill you in on a date.
Next, Christmas. Yes. It was fun. I spend it with my fiance and his family. It was wonderful. His family got me a few gifts and we had Christmas dinner at his uncles. It was a great time to get to know more of his family and get get closer to the ones already know. They all love me and accept me, and are very excited about the wedding. I got some neat doo-hickies for Christmas. Calenders, socks, blankets, towels, a dress, an ornament, 2 bibles!, and much more. Of corse tons of candy. It was definitely a holly jolly Christmas this year.
And for New Years. Meh, it was okay. Society makes it such a big deal, when its really not. Its just another excuse to get trashed. Yes, another 365 days to sin, but also 365 more days to live for Christ. December 31st and January 1st are no different. If you want to make goals, make them everyday when you wake up, tell yourself what you plan on doing today and ask God to guide you through the rest. But my New years consisted of Xbox 360, Star wars monopoly, and once again a ton if candy.
Then on January 1st, was my best and dearest friends Justine's going away party. She is going with Kitimivik to volunteer with other people in helping in shelters and etc. She is so excited, so if you all could pray for her, and ask god to guide her through this mission he has presented in front of her.
Also, my Christian warriors, my fiances boss;s wife recently had a miscarriage. They are both suffering terribly. Pray that God would give them understanding and that he would reveal his plan to them. And in their situation I thought of Jeremiah 29:11, and how God's plan isn't to harm us, but to prosper us and to give us hope. Pray my friends.
And now I'm off to get a bit of shopping done.
I love each and everyone of you, in Christ.
Blessings,
Chum
