(no subject)
I've been feeling moody lately, so I guess I'll just write my thoughts in here.
It's so sad what's been happening in New Orleans and Mississippi -- a tragedy that so many lives were lost due to Katrina. The media is now blaming the government, but that just doesn't help the situation or save any lives. I'm thankful that the people I know who were going down there/live there are safe. Angela, John, and Richard's family, even though they live in Baton Rouge, I just couldn't help but worry.
On another note, my two boys have left me for Asia. :( So...no late night comforting phone calls tonight. AIM must suffice for now. It's so weird though. During the past year, I used to be able to call them up whenever, no matter how late, and we would talk for hours. Especially if I was upset, they would cheer me up in their own unique ways. Well, now, as it just hit me when I wanted to call both, they're both temporarily unavailable. One's in Taiwan. The other's in Vietnam/Thailand. Just makes my life harder. At least they're coming home for Christmas -- kite flying, baking, bon fires. :)
I leave in 5 days.
