I'm 26!
Today is my birthday! Boo to birthdays on wednesdays, but yay that I got to spend the day with Casey! I took the day off because..well who wants to work on their birthday? Hells no. Plus, I have ridiculous amounts of paid time off. So we went to see I Love You, Man with Paul Rudd <3 & Jason Segal. I definitely recommend. It was funny and sweet - especially because Paul Rudd's character reminds me of Darby so much. I love matinees because there's never anyone in the theatre so you can talk and laugh as much as you please.
In actuality, but celebration began this last saturday when I met up with Casey and Darby for dinner and a movie at the Bijou. Dinner was Dazzo's Italian Castle which was opened only 3 months ago by an honest-to-goodness real life New Yorker pizza guy. It's very yum. And dude has a neat accent. The Bijou and Tennessee theatres are showing old(ish) movies this spring. Saturday we saw The Big Lebowski - it was great because people came dressed up (er...down) as The Dude in robes and sandals. They also sold white russians at the bar. Heh. This friday we're going to see a double feature: Eraser Head and Blue Velvet. At some point in the future, they will be showing the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. So yeah, fun times ahead.
