My advice for the new year is this: try not to get bitten by a snake and/or spider. I was watching this really gross show on Animal Planet last night about people who had managed to get themselves bitten by various poisonous creatures. To summarize: Ew. This is not something you guys want to go through, so please try to avoid it at all costs.
So it's 2009. One thing we'll need to decide sometime before this time next year is this: 2010. Are we going to read this as "two thousand ten", or "twenty ten"? I'm torn. "Twenty ten" rolls off the tongue quite nicely, but "twenty eleven"? It's a little awkward.
