birthday in review
OK. We'll start with Friday. I got home & did some cleaning of the house, since there would be company. Andi came down & we had dinner with Chuck & Bill G @ House of Shamrocks (MMM). we watched wife swap with them, and then Andi & I went back to my house. She made me a dessert fruit pizza for my party & I did dishes & stuff. Bil was in Niles w/ the band. So, around 1, I was laying in bed, watching some Lizzie Maguire (yes, it's true). all the sudden, I heard this huge BOOM and the whole house shook and the windows rattled. I sat in bed for a full minute, shaking & my heart pounding. I finally got up to look around & see if one of the trees fell on the house. Nope. I checked to see if even a car hit the house. My next thought was Donnie Darko & a jet engine is on my roof. Then I started hearing sirens, and OHMYGOD, it was a terrorist attack, and holy shit I can't breathe. Then Andi called to let me know she got home, and I heard more sirens. I started feeling a bit more rational and thought maybe someone's house blew up.

I woke up way early saturday. I had just finished using the treadmill & Bil walked in. They stayed in Niles, or were supposed to, and then at 4:30, when none of them had been to bed yet, Brad decided they needed to leave. SO, Bil was EXHAUSTED. He came in, gave me a kiss, and went to bed. and slept. and slept and slept and slept. at one point I went up for an hour and slept too. at 4 he finally got up. kinda. he took me out to the new Buffalo Wild Wings in Ferndale for dinner (mmm, my choice). We went back home, and he took a nap. I made some dips for the party, and then I took a nap with him. Erica came over, bringing jello shots (which I immediately had 8 of). Lynds came over to get ready. Then Bill, Chuck, Ben & Jason came over. We all (except Lynds, who's a baby) went to the Berkley Front to see Writhing. I got a free shot for my birthday. Someone we'll never know bought us a beer. We went back home, and Lyndsay had decorated the living room & dining room with balloons, and some other really cute decorations. She also made me cupcakes with candles in them. Some of my friends were there waiting. I couldn't even believe the number of people that were there, and there were quite a few that couldn't make it, so that was completely awesome. I got so much great stuff. Erica got me a bamboo plant, and some mascara she knows I wanted, as well as the jello shots. Chuck & Jason made me a mixed CD. Ben got me a Clicker Licker, which isn't nearly as dirty as it sounds...It's this awesome little thing that you shake back & forth and it makes a loud clicky sound. Inside is a sucker, and the end has a whistle. Andi & Brad also made me a mixed CD, as well as the fruit pizza she made me. Lynds totally outdid herself...she got me an awesome pink down-filled blanket, a junk mag (our shared obsession), some baby lotion that I love (I'm almost out), a shower massager, some moisturizing socks, a face scrub I love, candy, and of course the decorations & cupcakes. Bil didn't have an opportunity to cash his check & go shopping (which, yeah, I totally understand), so I still have another surprise. He insures me I'll love what I'm getting, and so does Lyndsay. So I'm WAY excited. Ben, convinced me to balance things on my big ol butt, including his beer & flaming baked goods. He also let me know, that the boom I heard? Was a neihbors GARAGE blowing up. So I'm not crazy or anything. it happened! Finally, our last guests left, and I finally went to bed at 4.
Yesterday I was SO tired. I did get up & make Bil breakfast before he went to work, and drove Chuck home, but that's it. I layed around ALL day, and was in & out of sleep for most of it. Finally around 6 I started cleaning up the house & doing some laundry & dishes. I did my treadmill workout too, and then gave up. I watched some TV & uploaded photos. Bil finally got home around 9 and we watched the new Charlie & the Choclate Factory. Tonight we are going to the W.A.B. for Bill G's 30th (Monday is 1/2 off food) & tomorrow is our hockey game. :)
