This summer has been pretty damn good if you ask me. However unfortunately, it's over now. But I just thought I would fill everybody in on the Summer's final events!
August 14th was the Clawson Car Show! Something I had been looking forward too all summer, and boy was it worth it, if you ask me! Nick and Tiffany met me at my house when I got off of work. From there we left. I drove to my Uncle's house parked in his driveway and walked to the show from there. You could tell my Uncle had been drinking all afternoon because he was kinda tipsy when we got there. So we got there we walked the strip like twice and then we were kinda hot and tired so we decided to leave. My Uncle wanted Tiff's mom to come since she goes to every other car show in the area. Later that evening around 6:30 Tiff finally got her mom to go. So she followed me to my Uncle's house where we parked again and walked to the show. Only this time they were handing out the trophies so everyone was by the trophy trailer. It took me awhile but I found my uncle amongst all the people. As we waited I grew more and more anxious to hear my Uncle's name be called as a winner. And as time went on, my Uncle became more and more doubtful and kept wining to go home. Of cource nobody would let him, and it was a good thing too! Because maybe 10min before the ceremony ended my Uncle's name was called. He won a 6ft tall trophy for "judges choice!" From there we (Me, Tiff, Uncle Bill, Aunt Lori, Marisa, and some other people I didn't know) walked back to where the car was parked where my uncle procedded to pull out a Bud Light for everyone. (me and tiff had to split one...WHATEVEVER!) Tiff's mom who was out with her sister later found us (and the trophy) As we started gathering everything up and deciding who's carying what, a little golf cart came and picked us up and took Me, Tiff, my Aunt, and Marisa back to the house, where we took pictures and celebrated a little bit more. At this point Tiff and I realized how hungry we were and decided to go grab something to eat. So it was a fun night!
August 21st was the Kenny Chesney Concert! It was the best concert I have and will ever go to. Brandon, Tiffany, and myself met up with Brandon's parents at the Joe Louis Arena. And the seat's actually weren't as bad as what I thought they were going to be! We had a really nice view actually! Because we left kinda late and traffic was so bad, we missed a little bit of the Uncle Kracker but what we saw was GREAT! Next was Rascal Flats. They are a good band, but I just don't know much of there stuff. And last (but never ever least) was my Kenny! He put on such a great show. My voice was screaching from screaming and singing all night long. OMG, it was a fantastic show! The 3 of us are already planning to go next time Kenny comes to town!
August 25th was the "Opening Of A New Door!" It was my first day of school. I have Med Asst Administration 1 from 12-3pm The class seems preety easy and the teacher is too from what I heard. But something very interesting happened in this class. The teacher called everyones name and then asked if anyone did not get called. The girl in front of me raised her hand. "What's your name?" the teacher said? "Nicole Piquette" said the girl. Well, I went to elementary school many years ago with a girl with that very same name. Then she turned her head and I saw the side of her face. I knew it was her. I called her and asked if she went to Montessori...it took her a second but the next words out of her mouth were..."ah, Crystal!" It was very wierd, but very cool and nice at the same time. She was my best friend at that school. I wonder what she's like now?
August 26th was the second day of school. The day from Hell is actually more like it though. I tried to take Nicole's advice and park closer to the class than I was parking. I ended up getting lost, stuck in traffic, and not being able to find a spot. Needless to say I was late to class. So I was nervous, anxious, and late. But I didn't think I was late because half the class went to go get their picture taken for the ID badges that we have to wear. So I was late, I didn't know what was going on, and I didn't get my ID badge. I was also a stressed mess from the homework I was given in every class, the fact that I had to go out and buy uniforms to wear to school, a stethescope and a bp cuff. Whew, I was a mess. But things ended out ok in the end. I made a friend, her name is Melissa and she is super nice and has all 3 classes with me on Thursday's so we're going to work together! We can grab something to eat together too during our 2hr break!
So all in all, I guess everything ended up ok. I made a friend in class, got my ID picture take, recieved my badge, got my scrubs, setehescope and bp cuff and all is well. Let's just hope I can make it through the semester!
