update, good times
August 23rd: The Not so Sweet 16 party. Not your typical Crispy Family Carnival show, but it was family. We performed for a group of high schoolers, this was actually harder than performing for a bunch of drunks, the kids started out trying to be too cool to freak out but they couldn't keep it up for long. In no time we had them freaking out and having a good time. I'm very happy with this years cast, we've even learned to tango for masochism tango, improved several of the acts and props, and are taking the show to all new levels! Of course with a bunch of teens there were plenty of hecklers and it was fun adlibbing more age appropriate back and forths with these kids, although when one little guy yelled out asking where my belly button was I nearly channeled the spirit of sideshowbennie but quickly bit my tongue (thanks Bennie). It was a really good time and showed me I picked well on the new cast I'm even more excited about this years tour!
Labor day weekend: Friday was the Heaven and Hell party, someone I met on Myspace showed up ready to play and I got to do some fire play with her, it's been a while and my hands aren't as toughened up to the heat as they used to be I had a really good time, afterwords me and the professor decided to have a few shots and bs at my place, well when Saturdays morning cartoons cam on we realized we'd been "sipping" on our drinks all night, a few shots became half a bottle of vodka and it was 8am.
After a nap i got up with a horrible hangover and barely able to move but the Leather Luau was setting up and I had to get back to the venue, I helped out with sound and got to judge in the contests, although sometimes I avoid these things as going alone can be a bummer it was a lot of fun I'm glad I made it.
Sunday it was off to Dallas to go to the Church. It had been a long time since i went to a goth club and actually heard goth music! I had a great time seeing such a wide variety of freaks and weirdos everything from punks, goths, rivitheads, lifestylers, etc. It really helped get me back to feeling like myself again, I'd given up many of the things that I loved attempting to find love it's good to be back! Towards the end of the night some cute punk girl stopped by for a quick anonymous make out/lap dance. There was a big group of us that went down, it was good getting to hang out with everyone, since I've been back I haven't gotten to know a lot of the people that came around after I left, although I met a lot during visits back I would like to get to know people more. Now that I'm free to have a social life I hope to get to know everyone better.
Last weekend was very interesting I went to Mistress Eve's Collaring to Rayne, thank you to Eve and her family for inviting me out I was honored to witness this event and again congratulations! I had a blind date/play partner for the evening. This was weird for several reasons I won't go in to, but she's really cool. We had a good time at the party and got to play some there, then decided to go back to her hotel to play some more. It was a good time and I even got to do something I've never done before and wasn't completely sure I'd be comfortable with. It was a night to remember!
This weekend is Cruxshadows at the Marquee, I'm looking forward to this show it should be a good time. Then the 19th is Vestige we have a lot of great things donated for the silent auction, Axis will be performing and the Crispy Family Carnival will be entertain while DJs David 950, Steven, Deathjest, Robbo, Jack, and Jacon will be spinning your favorite tunes and VJ Novachild will provide visuals for the night.
