Ira: The Sin of Wrath
Wrath (or anger) may be described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. Dante described vengeance as "love of justice perverted to revenge and spite". In its original form, the sin of wrath also encompassed anger pointed internally rather than externally. Thus suicide was deemed as the ultimate, albeit tragic,expression of wrath directed inwardly, a final rejection of God's gifts. Associated symbols & suchlike: Wrath/Anger is linked with the bear and the color red.
The punishment in purgatory is either being torn limb from limb or .
We'll revel in the sin as well as it's punishment. Think corporal punishment, uniforms, catholic school VS. Nun's/Priests, etc. If anyone has any game or project ideas for wrath speak up, the closest I've come up with is the attempt to build a stretching rack for the punishment side.
