what a weekend. friday night we went to a country bar and had chicks teach us how to two-step. it was fun in a going-to-a-country-bar kind of way. last night we played bingo and went bowling. woohaaa - good clean christian fun. i saw a girl i knew from like 8 years ago at the bowling alley but wasn't convinced it was her so i didn't go talk to her. today i bought some boots at academy for some reason (god forbid i turn into a cowboy). then we went to a pet store and paid $4 to have a rat fed to their big ol' python. nature is a cruel, cruel thing but snakes eating mice is fun to watch. next was a mexican food restaurant for a few beers. i overheard the bartender telling some lady at the bar all of the margaritas that they made there, which included avacado margaritas, jalapeno margaritas, and a few other strange concoctions. so i asked the guy if he'd ever made an enchilada margarita. of course he hadn't, so i had him whip one up for us to try. if you ever have the opportunity to sample a beef enchilada blended up in a margarita, don't. that was the worst idea i've ever had in my entire life. next door to the mexican food restaurant was a hobby shop so we went in and bought a model rocket. 30 minutes later, it's all assembled and we shoot it off in the parking lot of a nearby football stadium. twice it shot up over 600 feet and parachuted down onto a nearby freeway. we had to go get on the freeway to get it both times, but it was successfully recovered. amazing.

i forgot to call my mom for her birthday yesterday. i'm the worst son in the world.
