ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!!
I AM LEGAL AS OF TODAY!!! I can gamble, sign contracts, buy lottery tickets, and do many many many other things, most important of all, I CAN SKY DIVE!!!! Which of course I did.
Let me warn you all this is very very long b/c I am putting in every detail from the very beginning of the weekend till now.
Saturday morning I didn't do much, cleaning and went to the grocery store and just got things ready for the upcoming events. At around 4 my family came over to celebrate my birthday which basically consists of eating pizza and cake, singing "happy birthday", and opening presents. PRESENTS!!! ;) We had lots of fun, my grandma tried to talk me out of sky diving, and my uncle rob tried to tell me how stupid it was and all the risks that are involved. Yada, yada, yada. Around 5:30 Kristen came over and we left to go ice skating and vanessa and julianne followed us there.
At ice skating we met up with Maricarmen, Maricarmen's little sister Celeste, Daniella, and Daniella's friend Vincente. It was great we played tag on the ice and skate really fast and I now know how to skate backwards. I got hit with several snowballs care of Julianne. Honestly I didn't skate much because I didn't want to get any blisters.
After skating me, Maricarmen, Daniella, Vincente, Kristen, Vanessa, and Alex went to Dennys, where Kristin came and met us. The waiter wasn't very good and kept asking questions that didn't seem to make sense like asking me "scrambled, right" considering I got a beligium waffle, it just wasn't working. Alex and Daniella were acting like 10 year old and shooting little balls of papers into each others drinks, but I must say the highlight for everyone was me spilling my diet coke all over myself, while descibing Vanessa's trip and slide at Red Lobster. Daniella then left to take Vincente home and we all tryed to figure out the check and Maricarmen decided to pay hers all in coins. $5.95 IN COINS!!! What a fool!
Then me, Maricarmen, Kristen, and Kristin went back to my house and changed into PJs. Daniella and Jina then came a little later. Maricarmen then decided to ask my mom the story of the day I was born, so she bored them for 30 min. with that story, although they say it was interesting I think they are lieing. After that we sat for 40 min. to think about what to do and then blew up the pathetic excuse for a mattress. It was awful if u laid on it u sunk down practically to the floor. Then we came to the conclusion to play 90's-trivial pursuit while watching seinfeld, although we were more into the game. Daniella didn't play and we had teams, me and Jina against Kristen and Kristin. They won although we got some good questions like "Connie Chung" LOL HAHAH :) Daniella then fell asleep on the pathetic mattress and around 2:30 the rest of us went to my room and made space on the floor.
6:00am came very early! We all got up very slowly and were out of the house by 7:10. On the way down to homestead I was very nervous. When we pulled up I thought I was going to freak out, but I didn't and we walked in. I had to watch a video of a man with a 2 foot long beard telling me basically if I die they can't be sued or held responsible which made me even more nervous. Next they game me a packet of papers to fill out and I think I had to initial that I understood eveything at least 20 times, Jina was my witness, hehe. The papers of course simply reinterated that I may DIE or be SERIOUSLY INJURED. By the way when I get nervous I get very quiet, so I think pretty much from the time I got there till the time the actually jump happened I was basically silent. After all the paperwork was done they took me into this little room and suited me up, lol. By this time there were 9 people there, my mom, Jina, Kristen, Kristin, Daniella, Daniella's mom, Maricarmen, Kat, and Lauren, who of course all had to come in and watch me put this ridiculous jump suit over my clothes and put on the little cap and goggles oh and take pictures too. They all sang happy birthday to me while in the room. I also got a 5 minute course on what to do while jumping. Then I went outside and had to do this interview thing for the video when Aunt Susie, Uncle Angel, Vanessa, and Julianne got there. My nervousness was still growing at this point and there were less than 5 min. till it was time to get into the plane. I then met the guy who would be attached to me and he decided to tease me a bit although it didn't really bother me. In the plane there were like 16 people all of whom had done it before and they sang happy birthday to me, it was really nice. It seemed like one second we were just sitting there and the next minute we were at the edge of the plane about ready to go. I blinked my eyes and the next thing i knew i was heading towards earth. I really don't know what to say... OMG!! I've said it several times now, but I really have never had to concentrate so hard on breathing, my ears hurt, and it was really cold up there. It was was such a indescribable experience. When the parachute went off I definately breathed a sigh of relief, I mean I thought it would but there is always a chance it won't. The glide to earth is soo.. I DON'T KNOW. I felt like I was flying. I could see the ocean and everything else for miles and miles. I could see everyone cheering down below, 14 of them to be exact, lol, but according to them I was just a little white dot. In the air the guy, Randy, told me what to do when it came time to land although I still kinda landed on my butt, oh well as far as I'm concerned as long as I landed I'm not complaining. When everyone asked me how it was all I could say was "good" HAHAHAHA. I think I was still in shock. Then I had to take this little bus back to the original place while they all drove over seperately. So when I got off the bus they had already gotten there and all had there cameras pointed at me like paparazzi or something, I found it hilarious. I AM GOING AGAIN!!!
After that we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I had a blast. We tried to go to the CVS in Dadeland mall to get the pictures developed in an hour, but they didn't open till 12 and it was still around 11 so that kinda sucked. Everyone then went there seperate ways.
Daniella, Kristin, and Kristen came back to my house. And Kristen and Kristin left shortly afterwards. Daniella fell asleep on my couch and I went to my room and took a nap. And that was about it. LOL
