OMFG >< It's just one thing after another...
Okay, so Mike and I are getting to move to Brighton on the 19th. It's A LOT closer to Trenton, so we'll be saving mega bucks on gas. We're actually staying with my mum and dad in their new house for a little while... they're the ones that actually suggested it LOL! Mike will be off to Basic soon for 3 months, so they said we could stay with them for awhile so we can save money for our own place, pay of credit cards, bills, etc, and Mike's OSAP. Plus Mike and dad can car pool, since they're both working on the base (Mike still being a civvie, of course LOLZ).
Over the weekend the left side of my neck started swelling up and and it hurt quite a bit. I figured it was just another infection, so I pooped some meds and went along my merry way (went go-karting and played mini-golfing on Saturday!)
By Monday, my neck was so swollen i couldn't even feel my jaw bone, and the swell was very pronounced beneath my ear and on my cheek. I managed to get in to see my doctor in Trenton yesterday afternoon, and he checked me out and told my it was either my wisdom teeth coming in or one of them on the left side was impacted. So, freaking out, I called my dentist and made an appointment for emergency x-rays today...
And it is indeed an impacted wisdom tooth on my upper jaw. I don't have any on my lower jaw, just the two up top (it varies from person to person). My dentist recommended surgery ASAP for both of the two wisdom teeth, even though the other one seems to be fine, he said in all probability it will happen again a year down the road if we leave it. *sobs*
So, of course we don't have insurance yet >.> It's gonna cost $695 for the two teeth plus freezing, or $840 for the two teeth, plus freezing and laughing gas... Thank GOD my parents are very generous and said to save up as much as we can to pay for it, and they'd cover the rest. All this just in time for us to move next weekend, and for me to fly out to New Brunswick for a week with my sister and her hubby... As of right now, my surgery is scheduled for August 28th at 9 AM, but I'm on a priority list, so as soon as the have a cancellation, they'll give that spot to me. I'm so friggin' nervous, I HATE having people picking around in my mouth with needles.... I may have to take the laughing gas, because no way I'm gonna be able to lay there for and hour and a half with JUST the freezing. My dad said he'd take the day off work and come sit with me during the procedure :) He suggested i bring my MP3 player and listen to music while they're doing the surgery. There's also a TV in the room, so maybe I'll watch some crappy daytime talk shows LOLZ.
