So I moved to Kingston with my boyfriend Mike, and I'm loving it here. We're all settled, and I'm doing the house-wife thing ^^, and Mike is busting his ass with Primerica, and is off to Basic soon >.<
My sister's getting married on November 10th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!! Also, she and her fiance have decided to help out one of their local cat rescues: http://www.annexcatrescue.on.ca/
They're going to be taking in newly "trapped" feral cats (check out the site to found out about the "trapping" of feral cats in Toronto), and re-socializing/re-habilitating them to be adopted by pre-screened families! ACR is completely non-profit, they don't even have an office, just lots of people feeding these feral cat colonies in their neighbourhoods, having vets spay/neuter them and give them a clean bill of health, and rely on donations of food, litter, toys, carriers, and money. If you live in Ontario, you can actually go to some vet offices and pet stores and drop off supply or cash/cheque donations ^^ You can also donate money via a link on their website with your credit card.
I'm still of work, but I sent them $20 a little while ago, and I'm hoping to send more once I'm allowed back at work.
I feel bad posting something like this, but they need all the help they can get, especially with winter coming.
