A foot on the ground, and no snowplow in sight. This is Indiana, for chrissakes, not Houston, they're supposed to have some kind of plan for this kind of thing since it happens, oh, EVERY YEAR. Harrumph.
In other news, I just upgraded the processor on my Laptop, which is an interesting process. I basically have to tear the thing down to component in order to more or less (1) flip a switch (2) Switch chips (3) flip the switch again. That's it. No reconfiguration or nuthin'. However, I upped it from 1.6 to 1.85ghz, and for only a few dollars. I like it. Also picked up a copy of Red Alert 3 deluxe edition, which is now only $30 at Fry's. It's the same as the standard edition, but comes with a neat soundtrack and a code to get a Cossack's hat for Warhammer Online, that apparently lets you turn into a Bear. I wonder if Warhammer would run on this thing... it does seem to run stuff that it has no business running. FFXI has a downloadable benchmark program that shows a neat demo and lets you know how your system will handle the game, I wish the others did the same thing.
