A Giant in the business district
I saw the giant.
…
On the road - something grew in me with great forebode.
I was three score from he (in meters),
I was amazed and yet very unfazed by all of this but still in titers.
“Could a giant exist in a business district?”
…
Towering above the cars - perhaps he is a visitor from Mars.
He crossed the street (and panic arose),
I was worried and very much hurried that this magic might close.
I speed up to the AutoZone.
…
He was in the lot - logic made an attempt and fantasy became unkempt.
He was clearly not a giant (it was the angle),
I now saw this and required my jaw to drop ‘cause my fun was now to dangle.
Giants do not live in capitalism.
…
They only visit - something despite any logical respite.
Sometimes giants need things (like a timing belt),
They shop at AutoZone for the car they do not own and my fun will not melt.
If you do not believe me then I want you to leave me.
