funny update that is work related. it involves bad liars and cheap shoes.
so, i get to work, go to the back office to change. as i'm changing i'm watching the security camera feeds (i always keep one eye on it) and i see what looks like my gsr looking around for something, right then i knew a headache was headed my way. i'm just about finishing changed when i see my gsr walk offscreen-i know i'm being called in for backup.
it should be noted i had 3 hours of sleep, and am dead tired.

so i open the office door and walk out to meet my gsr, he explains to me that they claim that they both dropped off their movies sunday and that they saw me pick them out of the return box before close. joe, the gsr, has written down the bar code numbers of both titles. so, i tell him i'll check the wall for both titles, and he goes back to the counter to help other guests.
i search the new release wall, no-niether title is on the wall. i go back up there, explain the situation to them. they are not budging and getting hot about it. i'm tired, and not keen on dealing with them. thankfully, MY boss hadn't left from his shift yet, so i called him over. he went out and did the same thing i did. we told them that if the titles were at our store, we'd find them.
they left. joe then found the titles in question, they were in the outside dropbox-me, him, and my boss all just shook our heads.
they had lied and claimed they dropped it off two days, tried to tell my gsr that i screwed up (i don't screw up often), then lied to me and my boss. and guess how much of a late fee they lied for, $1.98, they got a very long and intricate member note after that.
