“Hey! Albert! Come check this out. It’s amazing!”
Blake and Green have never been anything but trouble around the lab, but they have seniority on most of us, so we have to put up with their shenanigans.
I come over to their station. “What?”
Blake points at the eyepiece. “We isolated a specimen of ocularicus ebenos.”
I lean down to peer through. “I don’t see anything.”
“Look harder,” Green suggests with a smirk, and I suddenly work out the Latin.
Sure enough, in the mirror, a dark black ring around my eye is now visible.
I work with such dicks.
