In case anyone's wondering, I am alive. Just very tired.
This was the worst planned move in existence. I still have shit at the apartment.
I have no bed. It wasn't worth moving the one I had, it's trashed. I've been sleeping on a borrowed air mattress. I wake up on the floor every morning. Fortunately though, I was able to spare enough cash to get a new bed, it should be ready for pickup on Tuesday.
Two days after moving my TV it decided to die. Video and audio both blew. In all fairness though, it was time. I got a hell of a life out of that TV. We bought it in 95, and for like the last 3-4 years it's been on 24-7. I'd just mute it when I wasn't there. So when I get paid Friday I'm buying a new one. I've wanted an HD for a while now anyway.
We switched to our new computer system at work two weeks ago. Along with that we instantly adopted all of the O'Reilly's procedures as well. As management it's been extremely difficult. I basically have to learn everything twice as fast as the others because I'm still the one they look to for help, and I'm still the one responsible for making sure the store keeps running smoothly. Last Sunday, the first day the new system was live, felt like my first day on the job, and I've been doing this for over five years. It's getting easier as we go along though. But damn does it take a lot out of me. At least both of the O'Reilly's trainers the company sent have been extremely impressed with our progress, and have credited me personally with a lot of it. That's something.
Guess that's all right now, I'll probably put up some pics of the new house once I have things a little more complete.
