Catrees
When kanigem moved out of state, she left behind a cat tree. She offered it to me on the principle of "Give it to someoen that might use it, rather than ditching it in the trash." I accepted, but figured I'd end up with it never being used and I'd pass it off or toss it since the fuzzballs have never been much interested in them before.
They didn't seem too interested in it, until we made one modification. Its a 3 tier tree with a quarterbarrel on top and bottom and a full but open ended barrel in the middle that had a catface on it that blocked 2/3rds of the open end. We left it a few days and then kokuten and I went "yeh, thats gotta go" and ripped the catface out of the barrel(and wow was that an ordeal..it was in there SOLID).
Well...they changed their minds after that. Pixel immediately glommed onto the top perch, and Vickie went after the bottom. Rev waffled back and forth on where he wanted, and I even watched Vickie muscle him off the bottom quarterbarrel once. But, once we put a towel into the center barrel he glommed onto it and hangs out there all the time now.
Guess the cat tree stays :-)
