I realize that I've sort of fallen off in my frequency of updates, and I have a few entries that I need to finish up and post, but for those of you who were interested in
the story slam stuff, I'm just posting to let you know that I'm planning attending the Massmouth
"Bankrupt" slam at Passim on January 21, and
The Moth's "Outgrown" slam at Oberon on January 22. I was originally planning on just being a passive attendee, but a couple of story seeds came to me on the morning commute (as they do) and I'll be whittling away at their edges over the next week.
As with all past events, storytellers throw their name into a hat and are picked at random, so there's always a chance that I won't get called. The Massmouth events tend to have a pretty good chance of being called (participants are more self-selecting) whereas the Moth tends to draw more 'newbies' and the one time I went, it was about 50/50 as to whether you got called or not.
