[he's in Thebes with his nifty cane that Duo found him. sand certainly wasn't a cripple's best friend as he was learning the hard way. but it was that, or stumble stumble fall, and that was much too embarrassing. he'd been wandering, and ended up near what looked to be the burial grounds. the steps down to the main room, filled with hieroglyphics on the walls of Osiris, the Egyptian death god, leading souls to the afterlife. not that the drawings mean anything to the redhead, he's more interested in the golden goodies at the base of a sarcophagus in the adjoining room. hobbling over, he smiled to himself; it was a smaller statue of the figure from the other room]
The sand is fucking ridiculous, but this was well worth the trouble. Bet it'd fetch quite a price at the Cheaps.
[pocketing the statue, Mildmay almost smiled to himself. the twitch of his lips wasn't a pretty sight what with that scar ruining half his face. but you could tell he was pleased as he began to hobble back to the stairs]
once a thief always a thief,
pleased mildmay is pleased,
plot: walk like an egyptian,
oh shiny!
