Kids Say the Darndest Things...

I just got home from a shift about a half hour ago. I let Katie come in and play with my chess set while I changed out of my uniform. And you know when there's a little kid in your room, you don't just ignore them . You put on your sweet n' happy voice, and you try to have a conversation with them. I didn't use a sweet n' happy voice, but the following words were exchanged:

Me: Katie, don't you have to go to bed soon?
Katie: In a minute, I've got to set up the people.
Me: Okay, after that.
Katie: *gravely* And when I wake up, they're gonna battle.
Me: The chess peices? 
Katie: Yeah.
Me: Why?
Katie: *is quiet for a long moment* Because they have pokemon.
