Sneakin' on the Computer in my Photography Class

Sep 19, 2006 10:21

It's been awhile since I last made a post to this journal. After school started up, a part of my brain just kind of shut off. :P September and June, that's when I start losing track of hobbies.

But anyway, life hasn't been too bad since I disappeared. I got a job making sandwich's at Subway. The interview for it was probably one of the most awkward, slow moving, and uninformative (on my part) of anyone that I have ever done. Mostly because I had a killer head cold coming in, and was so drugged up on medicine I could hardly keep my eyes open, but for some reason, they hired me. Dumb luck, or low standards, either way, I've been glad to have the job. It's something to keep me from feeling completely lazy at home. :) Now let's see how long I can hold it...

Classes have been a little difficult. I like most of the teachers I have this year, but unfortunately it looks like there's going to be considerably more work for this year than the last. (But hey, I'm in Naaz's class again! NAAZ! The Teletubby guy! :D)

I also ran into someone who was on a competitive team in the culinary class I took last year. I didn't really think anyone would notice that I decided not to take the course again this semester (didn't seem to be a reason, I really only took it to begin with out of passing curiosity), but it seems he did. It was nice to be remembered.
...Until he started telling me that I shouldn't let one bad experience keep me from pursuing cooking. Then it got a tiny bit uncomfortable.
Me: ...But I didn't have a bad experience. O.o After all, I killed during finals! HA HAHA! HA HAHA!! *ego*
Him: ...Oh. *silence*
Me: SO...
(Ain't that always how it is when you see someone you're kind of friends with through one subject and have nothing really to say to each other?) I can see where he got the idea that I was stressed though, I tend to get a little tightly wound toward the end of the year, but overall I had a blast learning to cook. (And now I can actually do things when I offer to help someone out in the kitchen).

Yep. So there's a rant about the current mundane changes in my life. Over all, not dead yet. :)
