life update via a glimpse of this month:
i bounce between two intense & rewarding internships. at sksm, i'm still processing the trustee/faculty/staff retreat, and already waist-deep in the strategic planning process for the school. also communicating a lot more articulately - and theologically - with superiors and colleagues about my work experience and the school's vision and so on and so on. at catalyst, the braden program just launched and it's rolling and awesome and i'm so proud to be part of a program so grounded and well-planned. my involvement there feels like one of the most balanced parts of my life. i'm learning tons of lessons that are useful in my other organizing capacities every day.
i'm back to resting and sleeping and re/storing energy after a two-week period of little to none of that, and with boundless excitement for the things i was working on. my thesis (among else) got written at 4 in the morning on the backs of envelopes and in rant-filled Word docs. i just have to organize it now (there's a few years worth of notes and footnotes), make it into another zine or two, and prepare a public presentation for.... april!
spending the weekend in rehearsal; V-Week is next week and the show is Tuesday. going to be thesis-izing and writing letters when i'm not onstage. i can't believe how fast this month has gone by or how full it has been on many levels.
after five years of not spending a dime (save tipping a few talented hair-styling friends) on haircuts i'm going to do something next week. not allowed to lose any length until after VM on tuesday... we shall see.
there's plenty of non-"work" stuff going on too but this is not the place for that catch up. i *am* taking two vacations, one to L.A. (hopefully to take my strike-ridden buddies out for drinks) next weekend and one to arlington in a few weeks to just chill with the fam for several days before/after a biz trip.
"lost" is awesome. the strike might be almost over. friends are great; so's food.
