so it's been a hell of a few weeks and i've been even more out of touch with long-distance folk than i usually am. right now i'm taking it easy, getting my strength back and recovering from a nasty eye infection. i haven't spent multiple (sequential) days resting since i had the chicken pox at age six. (i got creamed; my brother then only got a few. i missed camp.) it's been an interesting challenge, letting go of things and choosing to take care of myself and not getting overwhelmed with boredom from not doing multiple things at once.

i will have some intense catching up to do homeworkwise before my *vacation* in two weeks, but have found that homework dates are some of my favorite socializing anyway.
