(no subject)
On Tuesday I took my computer into a service center to see if they could figure out why I couldn't get the new CD burner I bought to work. For some reason my computer wasn't even recognizing it so I couldn't burn any CDs. I just got my computer back today and I'm so glad to have it back. I hated going 2 days without reading my email.
I found a nice surprise in my inbox today from Russell Brown (the photographer that Raven and I did a shoot with at Goth Con.) He was asking for permission to use the photos he took of us. Excitement Magazine (a local free monthly publication that covers the adult entertainment scene in Atlanta) is wanting to do a short article on his photography. Russell wanted to submit some photos of us for the magazine to print as examples of his work. So, of course I gave him permission. I think that Russell does really nice work and deserves the recognition, but I can't help but be a little excited for Raven and myself as well. I'm beaming with excitement to see photos of us printed in a magazine. Russ says he will send us copies....I can't wait to see them.
After reading that email my joyous mood took an about face. My brother called to tell me that our cousin is dying of cancer. He's been battling tumors that are growing on his stomach and bowels for a few years now and he's losing the fight. I'm leaving tomorrow to go visit him in the hospital. I can't believe that he's going to die...he's too young - only 26. I'm not sure what I'm going to say to him tomorrow, I guess I can only tell him how much I care and just let him know I'm there for him. I really hope some miracle happens and he pulls through.
After visiting my cousin, I'm going to go see my parents and spend the weekend with them. My father's side of the family always has a picnic on the Sunday before Memorial Day and I'm looking forward to it. It will be nice to visit with family I haven't seen in a while.
I need to pack my bags for my trip.
