Brad came down and visited Christa and I this weekend! It was a very interesting weekend overall, one that included wandering into a hipper-than-thou Sushi place, being stranded 20 miles away from school cause the fucking Trolley stops running all the way there after 10:30pm, having a friend from elementry school who I hadn't seen in at least a year just happen to be in San Diego, calling that friend and asking him to pick us up and unstrand us, catching up about all the people I went to elementary school with... and that was only Friday.
Saturday my dad came and picked me up to go see the Mirimar Air Show, which was so much fun. I can't imagine being in control of some of those planes. Afterwards we went out to dinner in La Jolla, then he dropped me back off at school around 9. When I got back, Brad was saying he wanted to go out so he Christa and I decided to wander about Frat Row in search of something. We knew one of the frats was having a "temptation island" themed party so we decided to head over there and see if we could get in. As we approached, two cop cars came speeding up and stopped in the middle of the street infront of the house. We thought they were just there to break up the party, but then another cop car came, and then another, and then another until there were (no joke) 12 cop cars surrounding the house. One cop went in his trunk and got out a bean-bag gun while another brought out a Police dog. One guy who had been standing on the sidewalk with us, watching what was happening asked one of the cops what was going on, to which the cop replied "Someone reported a stabbing." Whether or not there was an actual stabbing remains unclear, but what was clear was that there were about 25 cops for one college party. Seems a little odd to me, but hey at the very least we got some free entertainment. After a cop repeatedly yelled at as to keep walking, the three of us retreated back to the dorm, hung about for a while, then went to sleep.
This morning was a mad rush to get Brad to the train station on time at noon, which luckally we were successful in doing. Afterwards Christa and I walked around downtown and had lunch is Seaport Villiage, which I think may be my favorite part of San Diego.
Not next weekend but the one after, I'll be home! Mark it on your calendars, ya'll.
Thats right. I just said "ya'll."
