This entry is an example of the Immediate, though Not Urgent, taking priority over the Old Important

Will not rush through port forwarding and mess up connection. Will not have a heart attack over port forwarding and setting up static IP address. Will not have a heart attack over port forwarding. Will not have a heart attack over port forwarding. Will not have a heart attack over port forwarding. Will not have a heart attack over port forwarding. Will not have a heart attack over port forwarding. Will not have a heart attack over port forwarding...There will be time for it in the future. Just keep saying that over and over, Diana.

That was last Thursday's near-crisis. (It was averted. Not resolved, but averted.) And also the beginning of the entry I meant to post last Thursday.

The current near-crisis, though not nearly so much: Post-Punk Junk is closing on Friday, this Friday. I'm not really a fan of post-punk, but it was on my list of music movements to look into, or rather, listen to. So coming across such a great, not so neatly compiled, but still extensive resource was wonderful. Coming across it less than a week before it shuts down, not so great. Post-Punk Junk closing on Friday = me frantically going through the archives. But the guy who runs it is going to try to start a new website, so all is not lost. Well, technically, all the material on it is lost, but... **trying not to focus on that**. Really, it's not that bad, the more I write about it. Even though the new website would only be for his podcasts/mixtapes, that's still a good resource. Like I said just a few sentences ago, I'm not really a fan of post-punk... but then why does this still bother me? It's the incomplete-ness. I've discovered lately that not being able to do something completely (in this case, go through all the archives) bothers me even more than I had thought. It's... disturbing. It really greatly unsettles me when I can't do something thoroughly. ... even if what it is isn't all that important in the 'grand scheme of things'

Something more positive (and still music-related):
Went into Barnes & Noble today, which I rarely do because it's so out of the way, and headed to the music section, which I've never done. Headed over to see what Bowie goodies they have, and... guh! O_O **slack-jawed** ..... **about 10 minutes elapse in me writing this, trying [unsuccessfully] to transcribe my thought process** Nothing rare, but some nice finds for a beginning Bowie fan. And the picture on the back of Early On (1964-1966) is GUH! teehee

I have a list of stuff, my typical bulleted list of important realizations/ponderings/random moments, waiting to be expanded upon. But not surprisingly, it's not going to get the attention it deserves, and I've been promising for over a week, tonight.

****continuation of subject: yet Put-Off-able theme that runs through my life.
