Bali Company retreat (2) - Rafting down the rapids
Highlight of the trip was white water rafting. Got to say I never did it before so was eagerly looking forward to it.
Everyone needs to dress up as a “Despicable Me” minion before they can go down into the life rafts. Getting into the boat, it felt like I was doing dragonboat racing all over again. The same paddle strokes - long pulling to get momentum etc. Hahahaha I can only imagine what would happen if this was my canoeing teammates instead, the 45 mins trip down the river would become 15 mins!
The trip was totally enjoyable, cruising down the rapids, bouncing here n there and smashing into rocks. Our boat even got stuck on a pile of rocks (which made us lose the race hahahah).
A very nice stop was at this area with rock carvings, gotta say the Balinese are very expert wood and rock carvers, they made a truly beautiful rock mural to appreciate while doing rafting.
And there was a mini waterfall which provided a nice backdrop for phototaking too!
A perfect team building event! Now we are all looking forward to even more spectacular rafting
