Summary: Hayato and Ryu have just graduated from high school and their lives are about to change drastically. Can they go from being friends to lovers and what will the consequences be?
A/N: Based on my one-shot with the same name but this will be a whole lot different probably... Written for akame_hime because she wanted it.
”What are we going to do now?” Hayato asked as he and Ryu walked side by side.
They had just graduated from high school and parted from Yankumi and their friends.
“I don’t know”, Ryu said and shrugged. “Do you want to go and eat or something?”
“That’s not what I meant… I meant, what are we going to do with our lives?”
Ryu looked at Hayato with a raised eyebrow; it wasn’t like him to say things like that. It was a good question though, Ryu had to admit that.
“I’m going to university, I guess”, he said. “I got into Todai.”
“Seriously?” Hayato stared at Ryu in surprise. “Why haven’t you told me this?”
“It’s not a big deal.”
“Not a big deal?” Hayato said incredulously and stepped in front of Ryu, grabbing his shoulders. “It’s freaking Todai!”
“My father wants me to study economy”, Ryu said. “It’s not what I want… I think.”
“At least he’s not talking about sending you to Canada anymore, that’s something.”
Ryu’s lips tilted slightly upwards and he nodded. Hayato let go of his shoulders and they continued walking.
“We should celebrate”, Hayato said with a grin and Ryu got a bad feeling in his stomach; he knew that the expression on the taller boy’s face meant trouble.
Somehow Hayato managed to convince Ryu to go home and change into something else than his school uniform and then meet him again. Ryu had some trouble leaving the house because of his father but he finally managed and then he met a smirking Hayato outside.
Hayato had changed into loose fitting jeans that were slightly ripped, his favourite white t-shirt with the skull print and a leather jacket. Ryu didn’t think that he’d never seen the taller boy in such casual clothes before which was weird since they’d been hanging out since forever. He had to admit that Hayato looked really good though.
“Come on, let’s go”, Hayato said and grabbed Ryu’s arm, dragging the shorter boy with him.
“Where are we going, Hayato?”
“You’ll see”, the grin that Hayato had on his face was making Ryu feel very uncomfortable.
Ryu didn’t know how Hayato had succeeded but somehow the dark haired boy had managed to get them into a club and they were currently seated by the bar.
“We are going to be in so much trouble if we get caught”, Ryu muttered and Hayato patted his shoulder.
“Relax, no one knows us here”, Hayato said. “It’s going to be fine… Now, buy me a drink.”
“Why should I?” Ryu raised an eyebrow.
“Because you’ve got money and I don’t.”
Hayato was a very bad influence, Ryu decided, when, after having downed several drinks, they were up on the dance floor, moving to the seductive beat. Their bodies where close together and Ryu didn’t think that he’d ever seen Hayato’s face so close before. Even in the darkness he could see the boy’s long and dark eyelashes, the full lips and the intense brown eyes. And Ryu would be lying if he said that Hayato couldn’t dance because boy, those hip rolls should be illegal!
When Ryu felt Hayato’s hands sneak down from his hips to grab his ass, he didn’t mind, weirdly enough. He just pressed his hips closer to the taller boy’s and wrapped his arms around Hayato’s neck. Ryu felt hot breath against his face and he felt very light-headed; maybe he shouldn’t have had those drinks.
“Let’s get out of here”, Hayato mumbled into Ryu’s ear. “My old man is working tonight and my brother is staying at a friend’s place.”
Ryu nodded and Hayato took his hand and started leading him through the crowd towards the door. The walk to Hayato’s apartment was a blur and suddenly they were lying in the dark haired boy’s bed, kissing.
Their night together was hot, messy and painful but Ryu couldn’t say that he was complaining. He was just moaning for more and he’d never felt so free in his entire life as when he was trapped beneath Hayato, the taller boy moving inside of him.
After they’d both climaxed, they stayed in each other’s arms and just looked into each other’s eyes for a long time before sleep finally claimed them.
