...and those socks that I bought with the intention of wearing before Christmas but because they were part of the Christmas shopping trip Mom and Kris wouldn't let me take 'em out, regardless of whether I needed them or not, and put in a bag with the rest of my Christmas presents to be DOUCHES.
...
All-in-all, not bad! Now to finish SLAVING OVER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS. On that front I think I did well considering the circumstances. Everyone seemed to enjoy their gifts -- haha, Mom won big this year (which is good, because she's worth it (LOREAL)).
Christmas dinner was great as always. The seafood bisque was great and the roast was awesome. Grandpa sure does know how to cook. Heh, and while we didn't play a game like Apples to Apples like we usually do, we got entertained by another stalwart source of humor -- Grandma. Bless her heart, but when Grandpa says something's a fruitcake; it's a fruitcake. She spent the latter half of dinner fussing over this cake that she got from a friend, that was "NOT A FUCKING FRUITCAKE, but a cake with fruit in it," -- Kris goes, "You may not call it a fruitcake, but a fruitcake by any other name would smell as sweet," and the table starts dying. In the end, after trying to get us to finish up dinner so she could serve the cake, she has a slice and it was TERRIBLE. We were *done.* As always, Grandpa got a good kick out of teasing her -- and good fun was had by all.
Saw Hellboy II, which we got for James. Meh, I liked parts of it, and I definitely thought the creature design was inspired and interesting, but people were comic book stupid, so that kind of took away from my enjoyment of it. More importantly though, we got the sound system hooked up again, so I can watch Gurren Lagann IN SURROUND SOUND - the cry of "ORE WO DARE DA TO OMOTTEYAGARUUUU" SHALL ECHO FROM EVERY HALL IN THIS HOUSE.
that's my grandma!,
christmas swag,
who the hell do you think i am?!
