so i haven't updated in a few weeks or so. i was sick. had to stay home from work for about a week. kinda sucked. was kinda cool. i was bored mostly. but video games, weed, vicodin, and tv. kept me somewhat entertained. that and doing dishes. but yeah, ear infections fucking suck and this is my first one and i really wish my ears would unplug. i don't know if i should go back to the doctor or i should just wait it out. i just might need irrigation and that's it. waxy buildup. gross.
but i missed the awards ceremony at work. i was really looking forward to it too; it was 50's themed. i had a whole outfit planned out, too, complete with neck scarf. oh well. but the best part... i won two awards. The Better Together Award. My favorite line is from a parent that says i'm easy to communicate with and down to earth. And the World at Their Fingertips Award. This is my favorite of the two because it's about curriculum, while the other is about working as a team. But my favorite parts of this one are a parent of a child i'm not the teacher of turned in a nomination for me because her kid loves to paint with me and one of my supervisors said i have blossomed into a confident, engaging teacher that can take charge when i need to. fucking sweet. So not everyone got an award and i got two. hell yeah, but i've been working my ass off, i'm excited.
